Don’t worry, even if you are not looking to order your wedding cake, you can still taste one of their cutest little cup cakes, which will be more than worth it. The ambiance of the shop is truly amazing, which is one of the reasons why this cake parlour has gained huge publicity in the recent years. 7 out 10 pictures of the cake shops in London you will see on your instagram, would definitely be this one. The author & designer Peggy Porschen and her husband Bryn Morrow, along with their talented team of chefs and sugar-craft artists has won the hearts of Londoners in the past few years.
It was my mother’s first visit to London, so I had decided to take her to Peggy Porschen to enjoy delicious cup cakes and my favourite Nespresso Latte. As soon as we got in, a lovely waitress greeted us inside the parlour. We immediately felt the warm gesture of the their team and admired the lovely atmosphere of the parlour. Because it was a lovely sunny day in London, my mother and I were dressed up in cool pastels. At some point, I did feel like I was looking like one of the cup cakes ready to be eaten by a niche Londoner. Mostly because of my bandana, but I wanted to wear it.
We had spend a couple of hours eating delicious cakes and gaining lots of calories. I wanted my mother to feel special, as she didn’t even have a clue about where we were going and why I had asked her to dress up in Pink Pastels. Once she had seen the shop, she felt like recording a promo for the parlour cause I had invited Dermot to do the photography for us.
How to get to the Parlour?
It is easily accessible by bus, car, tube or bike. The nearest tube station are Sloane Square Tube Station (5 mins walk to the parlour) and Victoria Tube Station, from where you can take the bus C1, which will stop right in front of the parlour. Though you must remember that due to its popularity, it gets filled in very quickly. Aim to be there as early in the afternoon to take one of the tables outside, cause that’ll be the icing on the cake.
