Where to stay in Cancun?
Cancun is one of the most favourite holiday destinations in Mexico, located on the Caribbean Sea. The famous 7 shaped hotel zone in the Cancun has become one of the most touristy sites of the city, mainly cause of the luxurious resorts, white sand and of course the Caribbean Sea. Tourists visit Cancun all year round due to its lovely weather that stays hot and sunny throughout the year.
After a very time-consuming research on where to stay in Cancun, my team and I decided to visit this beautiful city in June, 2017. We chose to stay at Intercontinental Presidente Cancun Resort for many reasons. I have listed the main reasons below:
1: The calmest sea across the whole hotel zone (Zona Hotel) lies at this luxurious property. That’s mainly due to a nearby Island ‘Isla Mujeres’, which somehow calms down the water at the sea-shore. Majority of the resorts would have red-flags up all year round, with the exception of few odd days when the sea would be calm and easy for swimming (especially for the beginners, like me).
2: You’ll mainly encounter sophisticated and disciplined guests at this resort, the exception would be the school holidays, when every resort possibly get party going students. Your biggest fear of going on a holiday and being around those T***** guests (if you know what I mean?) won’t be a problem cause you’ll only meet friendly and understanding people at this resort. You can enjoy the exclusive beach in a touristy city without those typical tourists at the resort, i.e. most of the beach, all for you and your team at no extra cost, YAY!
This photo was taken around 4pm, how many tourists do you see? well I see a couple only, LOL!
3: As I said earlier, clean and crystal clear beach all for you and your mates.
4: You’ll meet lovely and friendly staff who will take care of you with all their hearts. We ended up eating at their ‘Caribeno’ restaurant all the time, even though we didn’t have all-inclusive. That’s because the staff at the restaurant were very courteous, they offered to make us special meals that weren’t even on the menu. We also received 20% off meals for our entire stay at the resort as a gesture of goodwill. Trust me, it’s NOT a sponsored post, we paid the same like anybody else to stay there. They don’t even know that I am writing a blog about them, LOL. I had accidentally deleted most of my pictures at the resort so I can’t share our room and restaurant pictures, SORRY ;(
So, if you are planning to visit Cancun anytime soon, please make sure that you stay on the Hotel Zone to enjoy the beach, otherwise the commute from the city-centre would be very time-consuming. Try to stay at a resort where you can easily get sun-beds, cause the busy resorts get filled really quickly, leaving you no where to lay but the beach. I always check TripAdvisor reviews before I go anywhere or book anything, plus I read blogs. Make sure that you book the airport-shuttle provided by the hotel cause it is the best option for airport transfers in Cancun. If you hire a taxi or any other shuttle bus, it will ultimately cost you more, so check with your hotel first and compare the quote.
